Voter Suppression and Criminal Justice Reform in New Jersey

On April 26th, 2019, UUCP’s Racial & Social Justice Team held an event on Voter Suppression. Chané Jones and Ron Pierce From The New Jersey Institute of Social Justice talked about Voter Suppression and Criminal Justice Reform in New Jersey and why almost 100,000 New Jersey citizens are denied the right to vote.  They also spoke about restoring voting rights to those on parole, probation or when incarcerated and joining other states in the U. S. and the majority of other democratic countries.
