The Sweetwater Cultural Center is a newly formed, Indigenous-led organization dedicated “to promote the education, health, and welfare of Indigenous or Native Peoples and to preserve their cultures and ceremonial practices locally, regionally, and around the western hemisphere.
Upon our arrival, we will meet with Chief Dwayne Perry who will share about the Ramapough-Lenape community, past and present, and how we can best offer our support as a congregation.
*This structure and land it stands upon was formally a Presbyterian Church that was gifted from the Presbytery of Hudson River to the Ramapough-Lenape people On November 20, 2019
