– Trump’s determination to build a wall
– His blanket labeling of desperate migrants as undesirables
– Thousands of Central Americans abandoning their homes and risking their lives to get to the U.S.
– Tear gas and U.S. troops at the border
– U.S. complicity
– Need for compassion at the border
Last November, The Unitarian Universalist College of Social Justice sponsored a delegation to Honduras.
UUCP member, Judy Manton, joined the delegation which was hosted by Por La Vida, an umbrella group of seventeen organizations of activist women who struggle against their hated government, and dare to speak truth to power. They expressed their indignation against narco-trafficking, rape by police and military and land seizure by big business…through street demonstrations, press conferences and T-shirt messages.
On March 22 at 7 p.m., Judy will visually share her experiences which heightened her commitment to social justice.
