Please join UUCP on Wednesday, October 11th at 7:00 PM for our “Artists on their Art” Series. We are pleased to have two very accomplished artists for our series: Herb Jacobs and Elizabeth Levine Wandelmaier.
Herb Jacobs: “I’m 90 years old. I have been working at stained glass since 1974. It started when I bought a stained glass jewelry box for our 21st wedding anniversary. Milli was very much taken with it. I studied it and decided that I could probably do work like that. I found a beginner’s instruction manual for $2, bought it and then bought the few basic tools necessary. I also bought, for 50 cents a box of small scraps of stained glass. Then I used the small pieces of scrap to make small panels. Eventually, I started making larger panels and jewelry boxes for every female in the family.”
Elizabeth Levine Wandelmaier: Elizabeth Levine Wandelmaier has a BFA with Honors in Communications Design from Pratt Institute. She spent a decade as an award-winning graphic designer in New York City. Now Elizabeth concentrates on bright, joyful acrylic paintings. Color is the hallmark of her work.
There will be time after for questions, discussion and some refreshments. We look forward to seeing you!
