We are pleased to have two very accomplished visual artists for our “Artists on Their Art” series: Jim Collier and Leslee Fetner.
Jim Collier has been a professional commercial photographer for over 50 years with past clients such as AT&T, Polaroid, Coca-Cola, Sony, American Airlines, United Airlines, Newsweek, McDonalds, Thom McAn, Dewar’s, R.J. Reynolds, the NAACP, and others. He joined the photography faculty at the Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC) in 1970, and retired after 37 years. Exhibits include group shows at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the African American Museum, The Museum at F.I.T., The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, the Art Center of Northern NJ, the Belskie Museum of Art & Science and Englewood Hospital. Leslee Fetner is a graduate of Hunter College in New York City and holds a B.A. in art. She also spent a year at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She studied watercolor and printmaking techniques and has also done sculpture, digital and mixed media work. Over the last two years Ms. Fetner has been focusing on printmaking which she finds creative and challenging. Her presentation will focus on three printmaking techniques: monotype, linocut and drypoint etching. Website: www.lesleefetnerart.com
