Please join UUCP for today’s Zoom service, “Our Bright Future” at 10:30 A.M. led by Rev. Pippa Jones.
June 16 is “Youth Day” in South Africa – a key historical date in the Liberation Struggle and a powerful reminder that we must do all we can to protect, encourage and support our young people.
On Sunday June 11, Rev. Pippa Jones will honor our youth worldwide, their voices, their hopes and their dreams. Joining her will be Zee a young Muslim girl from the Cape Flats, one of the world’s most violent areas; Blessing, her 11th Grade classmate and refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Banzi, a young Xhosa man in his third year of studying Law. All three are emerging leaders in their own right, smart, talented and determined to make a difference in their communities and in our world. If they are our future, then our future is bright indeed!
Join us for this special coming together of the generations. Let us share our wisdom with one another and let us celebrate the gift of youth.
Invite a friend. All are welcome!
