Get Climate Voters to the Polls!

This year, all over the world, we have seen the devastating effects of the climate crisis in real time. In the last two weeks alone, we have witnessed recording-setting heat waves, unprecedented forest fires, and tragic floods. Climate change is not a problem down the road, but a catastrophe that we are living in right now. The time for action is now.

Did you know that 13 million people who prioritize climate don’t vote? It is with this in mind that UU the Vote is partnering with the Environmental Voter Project. The Environmental Voter Project is a nonpartisan nonprofit that identifies inactive environmentalists and transforms them into consistent voters to build the power of the environmental movement. Join us Monday, August 1 at 7:00 PM to learn more about the Environmental Voter Project and their goals for this year and beyond.

We need to get every climate voter to the polls. That’s why we are asking you to join UU the Vote and the Environmental Voter Project on Monday, August 1 at 7:00 PM to call low propensity environmental voters in Arizona ahead of their Primary Election on August 2nd. This will be our first national phone bank of the 2022 campaign year, and we want to see everyone there!

November’s midterms will set the tone for the next two years of climate change policy. The Arizona election will have massive ramifications on their state and on the nation. On the ballot there will be US Senate and US House races, Gubernatorial races, State House and Senate races, local races and ballot initiatives. Far too much to ignore.

Voting on climate respects and protects the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. You’re reading this because you believe that also. Let’s get to work on climate in our country, starting on August 1 in Arizona. Sign up here.

You can prepare by looking over the phone bank script here, and reviewing the Hub Dialer phone banking system here.

I hope to see you all there. The stakes are too high to be complacent.
