Use the following QR code (use the photo app on your smart phone) to get more information. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*Click to enlarge flyer* \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe auction is an annual event calling upon members\, friends\, businesses and the local community for support. \nWhat is the Outreach Auction? \nThe Outreach Auction is dedicated to raising funds for six designated charities that meet and fulfill basic life needs. This weeklong virtual event features a silent auction and is sponsored by two Unitarian Universalist congregations in Bergen County: Central Unitarian Church and Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palisades with 100% of the proceeds going to the selected charities. The charities are selected based on the impact they have on those in need in Bergen County\, regardless of religious affiliation. \nThe auction raises money with bids from $10 to $1\,000\, demonstrating that when we work together\, we are greater than the sum of our parts. Since 2000\, this gala event has raised over $760\,000 with 100% of the proceeds going to the designated charities! \n  \n2024 Selected Causes & Charities \n\nAssisting Families Affected by Alzheimers and Other Dementia — Alzheimers New Jersey Center is a New Jersey based non-profit that assists families affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia including families from Bergen County\, so they can manage the care of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease the best way possible.\n\n  \n\nProviding Free Healthcare for the Working Uninsured — Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI) Utilizes passionate volunteer healthcare professionals to provide free\, comprehensive\, patient centered primary care for 1\,100 low income\, working Bergen County residents who do not have insurance.\n\n  \n\nHelping those Seeking Asylum — The purpose of the Northern New Jersey Sanctuary Coalition is to serve as support for people who have applied for political or cultural asylum and been released from federal detention\, and for selected other asylum seekers.\n\n  \n\n“Meals on Wheels” for the Homebound — Community Meals\, Inc.’s volunteers deliver meals (approaching 22\,000 in 2022) to those who cannot shop or prepare meals for themselves due to age or disability\, including fully subsidized meals to clients with financial need.\n\n  \n\nDefend Love\, Empower Minds\, Save Lives — The Bergen County LGBTQ+ Alliance mission is to advocate for equality and resources for the LGBTQ+ community in Bergen County\, NJ\n\n  \n\nNeighbors Helping Neighbors — Westwood Cares helps families\, individuals\, elderly and disabled Westwood residents during times of financial Crisis. We help persons who do not qualify for state or federal help with food gift cards\, partial rent\, electric bills\, medication\, car insurance\, etc.
