On June 21, 1964, three Freedom Summer organizers, James Chaney from Meridian, Mississippi, and Andrew Goodman and Michael (Mickey) Schwerner from New York City, disappeared after being released from jail in Neshoba County, Mississippi. Seven weeks later their bodies were discovered buried in a nearby earthen dam. The investigation showed that the murderers were members of the local White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office, and the Philadelphia Police Department

You won’t want to miss this special and rare opportunity to hear from Mickey Schwerner’s brother, Steve, about how this horrific event shaped his life, his family’s life, and the lives of so many others!
